About Us

The New Brockton Housing Authority is located in the small, rural town of New Brockton, Alabama.  New Brockton is located in Coffee County and is only about a 10-minute drive from the City of Enterprise.  We own and operate 40 pubic housing apartments - 22 units located on King Street, which are known as Brock Apartments and 18 units off Caldwell Street which are known as Youngblood Apartments.

The public housing program provides affordable housing for qualified tenants.  Applicants must:

• apply for assistance
• meet income eligibility requirements
• be able to provide verification of income and deductions
• be able to provide proper identification
• clear the required screenings
• attend an interview

Once an applicant is deemed eligible, they are placed in order on the waiting list.  There is a preference given to elderly and handicapped applicants for one-bedroom units, which will move them up on the waiting list above any applicant who is not handicapped or elderly.

When an appropriate sized unit becomes available, it will be offered to the next person on the waiting list.
